it was delicious.
most delicious apple fritters in the world.
(i actually don't care for them, but honestly, these just melted in your mouth.)
the little town of berlin, amish style.
for some reason, the amish are quite fascinating to me.
i love the hand signals.
annie on some amish style furniture. big chair...
and big horse.
meet big ben.
i sent this picture to my family.
their responses:
"child like sister."
"not fat, pregnant." (thanks)
"wait, are you kneeling?" (no)
"you could walk under that thing."

Best Friends among the Amish
Annie
we've been best friends since 2nd grade.
both our parents were in the air force.
at the time, her family had 4 kids and we had 4 kids.
all very close in age.
now they have 7, we still have 4.
we've each flown out to see each other multiple times through the years.
we are very different and yet we get together and it's like nothing has changed!
flying out to see her this weekend to go Amish Antique shopping

Doggish Moments
A few days after this picture, there was road construction. I'm sure glad they found out where that stub was. The Kona is looking a little fluffy from her swim in Hobb's Pond. (an old pond that's really lake size worthy. it recently opened up to the public...it was slightly illegal . . . not that we went. Ü)
What is that fluff coming out of that fancy, fancy car? Oh, that's just a giant poodle. Obviously, waiting for his loved one to come out from the the Airport. I thought we were bad for letting The Kona put her head out the side window. Silly us, we've been doing it wrong all this time.

Instagram-ing fool
I know, I know, Instagram has been out for ages... but nonetheless, I'm just glad to have it.
The Husband and I went down to Manti, Utah.
Why? Because we had Groupon that was about to expire for the picture below. What do you ask is in Manti? Really, not much.
Except for this...
A lover-ly little Bed and Breakfast.
This is actually where Derek and I had out-after-wedding-brunch.
(the official name of this event has eluded me.)
Manti also has this.
It's beautiful no? Meet the Manti Temple.
On the way back home, The Husband asked if I wanted to go to the Tulip Festival in Lehi.
I liked the fact that he wanted to take me there. (We had recently watched the Break-Up.) Normally, this is not something he would suggest, especially, because it was hot outside. But it was lovely!

The Act of Waiting.
(I can't remember where I saw...this print...sorry person, but kudos to you.)
You'd
think while we waited oh...5 years for a baby that this last 5 months
would be easy. I'm terribly bored of it already. When does this little
lady get here!? Sigh. Setting up Registries, thinking about
EVERYTHING we need is kind of overwhelming. But I can't really buy
anything until this house we've been waiting for since last October
closes.
Short sales = Not Short
Sometimes, I wish we weren't so cheap.
There are many, many, exciting life changes coming...I can't wait to post about them! We'll have to make sure it all works out first.
Also. I really want this.
Maybe for the baby...or mainly for me.

Homeland
We're finally going to the homeland!
We fly out to Japan to visit the husband's brother and family on the 23rd.
They sent us some gifts for our birthdays. I was practicing my Tourist moves.
Just a couple more weeks and we're going on the longest flight of our lives!
Much planning is happening. Got to get one last big trip before the kidlet gets here!

I went Bra shopping last night
Let me tell you, you may not want to read this, but this is a daily worry in my mind...and one of my main hang ups about pregnancy.
Well, I think I am safe to say that the grass is WAY not greener on this side.
I haven't broken down in tears yet, because, probably because there is the small excuse of the babe, I'm still not happy with it...but I will deal.
I felt that I have long overcome feeling self conscious about myself and realizing sometimes...my gene pool just sucks in certain areas. Like for instance...I am 5' 1", around 128 lbs, which sounds about normal, except for we throw in my now double d boobs with my size 5 feet.
I've been asked how I stay upright with the disproportionate body parts.
It's been hard my friends.

Baby Fetus Gender Day
Again...remember, if you work at my office, please do not share this...I'm waiting to see how big I get before the bossman (or anyone else for the matter) notices.
I found this Lucky shirt for $5.00
I thought the message on my ever growing belly was fitting.
Time for you to guess...
Today is "Baby Fetus Gender Day" as Hannah so eloquently said.
Yup, we find out today...I'm exactly 16 weeks.
*Note, this picture was actually taken around 10-12 weeks...I think. (I'm quite a bit larger now) with the iPhone
**Note, We had a Groupon to go bowling at Weber State and as usual, it was about to expire. Came with 2 games, shoe rentals and cheese nachos..w/out the nachos as their machine was broken.
I can't even tell you how much money we are not saving by buying these awesome deals on Groupon. But we still buy them.
I'm way behind on my blogging.

My dear girls,
We have fought for many long years. I was first introduced to you in the third grade. THIRD. I was much too young.
It's been hard ever sense...we've had ups and downs...mostly downs. I've tried to conceal you my whole life...and now you've decided it's time to grow again.
WHY?!!
I realize baby growing is a big deal...but couldn't you ladies have just . . . not?
I'm a little upset that I have to go shopping for you...we try to keep this to a "have to because the old ones are completely falling apart" basis.
* sigh.
