the kona wishes to tell you
she needs some serious lovin. also, please note her little face wart. it was about 5 times bigger and gruesomer. (see photo here) i took some manuka essential oil and we killed it in about a week. it's still gross, but she's still just as lovable.

#thriftedthursdays
well, this first photo wasn't thrifted...but they were from the dollar bin from target. including my new specs. there were a couple other books...but they messed up the nice layout we had going here.
hmmm, it appears, that i didn't crop my photo. the important part is that i got all this for a quarter. i love yard sale season.
these puppies were purchased for very specific reasons.
1. i wanted them
2. one for six dollars and one for seven, can you guess which one? i'll give you a pair. not.
3. they were brand new from a thrift store
4. the silver ones were needed for a grease sing-along
5. the brown ones were needed for a date with the husband.
7. i wanted them.
the kona agrees with me.

Backyard
there are some rare days that the husband will come outside with me. i bought him a hammock (double of course) for father's day, to try and lure him outside more. because, you see, it can't be too hot, otherwise he just melts into a puddle.
he liked the hammock, other than it wasn't quite hammock like, more like an upside down "a" when we sat in it, but we had to try it out!
oh, the kona says "hey"

random days from a nice slow week.
one week it's super cold
the next we can lie in the sun
some birthday flowers from the husband.
playing and puking with dad
minimal decorating
playing with cuteness
enjoying our walks in the warm weather, while wearing some super stylish baby jeans.
oh yeah, the kona and aiko seem to be bonding lately.

so when kona is older
the kona may be a little less noticed around here.
but we still find random excuses to buy her treats.
its a chicken stick...it slightly grosses me out.
the kona still spends a lot of time with the husband. it's called carpet time.
you can see the kona is distraught. this baby has infiltrated her carpet time with the husband.

the dogs of our lives
get the header? tee-hee.
meet bowser.
he's the heartbreaker of the family. he also has finished off all the birthday cakes for the last year. pretty sure my brother taught him that.
meet the kona.
the worst beggar in the entire galaxy. she also respects no ones personal space. we're trying to work on it.
meet loki.
my cousins dog and he-who-has-the-largest-head-i've-seen-on-a-dog. i was footzoning his mom and he felt the need to be part of it.
like i said, the kona respects no ones personal space. including baby raptor. the kona likes to make sure we are practicing good hygiene.
and they...are the dogs of our lives.

the kona's bling
i spy with my little eye:
a naughty kona. here, i was practicing "waiting." she's usually very good about it. probably, has something to do with the fact that i had some treats in my pocket for her. but nonetheless. i was showing hannah how good she was being (without a treat) when the little sucker ran off in the opposite direction into the neighbors. DEFYING me. the nerve. naturally, i made hannah go get her.
here you'll see the kona's attire whilst running away.
she has her color, then her leash which i loop around her neck (as cesar milan says to do), i've also included her heart stone necklace, a zipper necklace, hooked the other end of her leash to the proper spot and last but not least! a baby diaper bag holder, here being used just in case the kona does something unmentionable while on a walk. (i loath people who let their dogs poop on my lawn.)

Got us some good snow.
the kona was dying to go play in the snow. i mean...who could say "no" to these big browns?
she's always wanting to push you down the hill
or be there when you biff it on the bunny hill at auntie mitsie's house
or be your own little side cheerleader.
the mama and auntie mitsie learned to ski on this hill
they always join in the fun!
usually standing and watching, but this year we got them to go down the hill!
whether it's going down the hill or getting warm inside, the kona is always there.
