Got us some good snow.

the kona was dying to go play in the snow.  i mean...who could say "no" to these big browns?

she's always wanting to push you down the hill

or be there when you biff it on the bunny hill at auntie mitsie's house

or be your own little side cheerleader.

the mama and auntie mitsie learned to ski on this hill
they always join in the fun!
usually standing and watching, but this year we got them to go down the hill!

whether it's going down the hill or getting warm inside,  the kona is always there.

now that it's snowed, i kind of feel like i missed christmas somewhere...
it just feel magical now.

snow days call for bear suits, warm hats, boots, leg warmers, scarves, snow plows

and vintage snow pants with vintage moon boots.

Yeah, where is spring?

It may be lovely and mysterious....but my tulips are not going to handle this well.

Granted this was just a couple weeks ago.

Snowy April.

Went for a walk the other night...
I couldn't believe how much snow we got.

It looked like something out of an old movie...
I felt like a couple kissing under the light with an umbrella seemed to complete it.

Winter Fishing and Fabulous fun.

Hali had some worms, so we decided to go fishing on President's Day morning.  We've never been snow fishing, or ice fishing, so we thought this would be great fun.

Kona pretends that she is not excited to go, while Hali can't hide it.

Kona seems to think that she can fit through here and Hali, well, I can't even decide what she is trying to accomplish here.

Layers are necessary.

Derek just asked me whose dog this is.  Apparently, Kona's disguise works well.

For some reason, if you run and are wearing snow clothes, Kona thinks that you are her personal marshmallow to squish and eat whilst running through the snow.

Needless to say, we did not catch any fish, it was freezing, and well, nothing super exciting happened.
Although, I pretended that i lost the keys and called my husband.
H: Husband, I lost my keys in the snow, could you come and get us.
D: Okay, did you look for them.
H: Yes, they are gone.
D: Where are you at.
Silence.
H: BUahahah, I tricked you.
D: Well, I wasn't surprised, you always call with some crazy story when I'm not there.

What is that suppose to mean?

We are just fine on our own.

Girl power rocks!
Just because we are a little crazy. .

Lame Winter

And I quote..."Winter has been so lame this year"
It's been Spring here...Not 2 days after I said that, we got this....

And then again, we got this.
<3 it.

Much better don't you think?

Cabin Fever

Weekend of February 20. Mitch and Stacie invited us to their cabin in Oakley! It was great fun. To start off, we left our house around 9:30 and ended up at the cabin around 11 something, after we rode snowmobiles to the cabin. As you'll see the cabin is pretty awesome. After Mitch started a fire, we sat drinking hot chocolate, and waited for the cabin to get warm. Luckily, the cabin has power, plus electric blankets. We slept great! The next day, Stacie's nieces and nephews came to go sledding. It's quite the sledding hill. The cabin sits at the top of a mountain and you sled down the snowmobile run. It's pretty long, and fast! Sledding is way more fun when you have a snowmobile pick you up to go back up the hill.

It was good times!
