disneyland or land of d.

"i'm not that excited about disneyland." says the husband (i'm appalled.)
he continues "we've been there a lot, lately."

who is he kidding?  pure joy people, pure joy.

so, we all planned for a disneyland day with the cousins.  yes, we are all adults.  it's in our blood.  our parents went to california every year as kids to visit family and to go to disneyland.  besides that, how can you hate it?

it. is. magical.

even more so, when the grandbabies hangout with the grandparents and parents are free to run around wild.

the husband is deemed the fast-pass-guy.  he walks fast to get the fast pass, plus he just walks so fast anyway, that he generally ditches me, so we gave him a purpose.

we love the cameras.

we love that we can take pictures of the pictures for free.

we basically know all the key moments to get great pictures.  (oh, that guy who looks grumpy?  don't worry, he really is so happy he can't stand it.)

except for this one.  i'm still a little upset, there was a couple behind us...i think they were doing something inappropriate.

this is me a normal height.....then me hoisting myself for the picture

the enthusiasm is ever lasting.

you know the jungle cruise?  that has the lame jokes?  well, brother jan, laughed at everyone...for a while.

i love looking at everything, it never gets old.

how we love you disneyland.

remember how we went to the zoo for the morning?

well, these crazies decided to go to Disneyland for the night.

here we are on the trolley, the husband is pretty excited.

it's the happiest place on earth right?

wrong.

still wrong.

very wrong.

it only got worse on "it's a small world." she screamed for the majority of the ride.  the husband is trying to show his mean face.  see the slight curl of lip and nose?  yes people, this is his "mean" face.

it's pretty ruthless.  a couple people have said that perhaps she was mad because "her hat was too small."

at least these two were happy!

second first visit

after a good night sleep, she was a much happier baby!

although...she did wake up a couple times during the night (which never happens at home.) so i was a little tired that morning.

the night before, i felt that it was absolutely necessary to purchase her first set of mickey ears.  then, i found these miniture ears that can be used as a headband, hair clip or key chain.  i love multi-purpose items!  i wanted to get her name embroidered...but alas, they were too small.  so instead, i will stitch her name and then, i'm going to use them as christmas ornaments.  like i said people, i love multi-purpose items.

oh splash mountain.  how we love thee.

we weren't originally planning on going to disneyland...so i feel very out of place without my disney attire.  (i'm still a little distraught over it.) otherwise i would have purchased the baby a shirt earlier.

luckily, hannah had an extra shirt for the husband and the baby had a polka dot outfit i had packed.

so, you may notice that the husband and i are wearing matching glasses.  well, that's because they are the same glasses.  i've always wanted glasses, but it seemed silly to buy some without a prescription.  luckily, hannah had some glasses which she has never worn.  so she popped out the lenses and i was good to go! because, that's not a silly solution right?

as we were driving to disneyland that morning i was wearing my new found glasses and the husband requested to wear them (what?!? who are you and what have you done with my husband?!)  he wore them around most of the day and looks quite smashing i should say.

i had never planned on taking such a little baby to disneyland, mainly because, well, i am selfish.  i didn't want to sit around while everyone else was out riding roller coasters.  well, come to find out, it's really not as bad as i thought.  because i got to hand out with my super cute baby in the happiest place on earth!

Carousals, lights and knights

So, we spent 3 days in Disneyland...which I'll admit, is quite a amazing in itself.

We were able to do the rides we wouldn't normally do. Like the carousel.

Watch all the little shows we never have time to see.  It's a Small World at Christmas is SOOO much better. The old song is replaced with Christmas words.

Wander through all parts of the castle.

Go multiple times on Screamin for pictures sake.

Take pictures of the funny bathrooms signs.

And go to all the bathrooms in the park.

Watch Captain EO.
(Which if anything, it was a nice place to nap.  Terribly painful movie.)

Take awkward photos with Hali and my Uncle Sam and Aunt Patty's House.

Take multiple photos of the castle.

Ride the Teacups.

Possessed eye photos are a must.

Tired of these posts yet?
Because they are finally done.  Sigh.
Good times Disneyland, Good times.
