Garden Time

So many blackberries!

Soy many Soy Beans!

Ikea Fun

When to Ikea the other day with The Boy.
So many things I'd like to buy.

Like this little Egg chair.

Looks Comfy?

Barbie's are getting uglier by each movie.

Wow, don't you just want to buy this?
Look how Edward and Bella reach towards each other through their plastic box.
True Love.

And poor Jacob, always as naked as ever.
You'd think they could have given him some shirt to wear.

Miller Time

Our yearly camping trip with the Miller's.
We had our own secret cove off the campsite, which was super nice, because it was Hot.

Melinda and I decided to go up early and set up camp.
We picked camp spot number 34, drove around to go pay for it and there was a truck parked there!
Gasp!
I literally watched the truck drive past us on our way and thought "Don't even think about it beardy."
And it was him!
Melinda and I drove around, saw him, and kindly asked them if they were planning on staying in that spot (while I batted my eyes).
He said he was undecided and in the end moved.
Ha.

The problem with having husbands come later with the camper is that usually most of the stuff we need is in the trailer, like matches. No big deal, we had to food, just needed a light.
Melinda picked up a stick, wrapped it with paper towels on the top and set off to the next campsite over.
I suggested that it might be easier just to ask for a couple of matches instead of lighting her torch.

Our little boat family is getting so big!  We can now take 4 additional people with us!

Corbin and his first fish.
You'd think Derek, being the Art Major he is, could have at least got a shot with out my butt as a main feature.

Fishing.
I feel kind of sad. Six years of fishing with no catches and now I catch fish all the time.
Where's the fun in that? Not that I like to brag, but I'm a pretty good fisher now.
The Secret? Get over your fear of worms.
It's that easy.
For some reason, when I think about the worms clinging to my finger I want to vomit. It takes all that I have to put that worm on that little gold hook.

Corbin reeled in a Rainbow trout with a Spiderman fishing pole.

I'm not sure why he is squinting, as the sun is behind him, but he sure make s a good Popeye face.

This is a regular occurance.
Kona, stop bugging Corbin.
Kona, Stop trying to eat Mykell's food.
Non STOP

I decided to try another fishing spot.  Since we had only Spiderman pole, Corbin soon wanted to fish.
I was busy eating a string cheese and I hear
"I felt a tug, I felt a tug!"
He really had a fish.
A brown trout.  Man, this kid was good.

Derek and I had our 5th Anniversary.
He hates me taking so many photos. But who will document our life together if not muah?

We had a sweet little spot to the river.  Which Corbin immediately got swept away in.
Good thing he has a super mom.

What child goes through life without a Plumber's Crack?

In the secret spot.
There will always be licorice, Coke and Cards.

Many things are happening in this photo.
Derek is drawing for his next turn, Caleb is giving some Twizzler, while Mykell is hiding behind the water bottle, and Harmony is getting so sleepy.

This is how hot it was, poor girl was just sweating while trying to take a nap.

We were all so tired after our 5 hour boat escapade.

Melinda: Caleb, why did you teach our son to play with fire?
Caleb: Melinda, I taught him the rules
Caleb to Corbin : Do we poke people with our fire sticks?
Corbin: No
Caleb to Corbin: Do we pull our stick out of the fire?
Corbin: No
Caleb to Melinda: See?

REAL Soccer Games. Family Style.

First glance makes you think the left is me. But it's not, even I had to take a double take.
That is sister Hali.
We all went to a REAL soccer game.
Laney has some sort of attachment to "The Pudding Monster"
aka Derek.
I told the kids a couple weeks ago how much Derek loves Snack Pak Pudding and said he was the pudding monster.
So Laney asked after the game,
"Pudding Monster will you carry me?"
How could the Pudding Monster say no?

I can't even tell you guys how much I <3 soccer.
It's strange really.

I bet you are all excited to see these.

I said "Hali will you bring me my camera?"
Hali says "Sure." (while secretly taking multiple face photos)

Ever since Facebook came about we've been seeing a lot of these face shots.
Both my sisters have some sort of fascination with themselves.

Maybe this will teach her to stop taking these ugly face photos.

But probably not.

Road Trip to . . .

An unexpected turn landed us here.

So, what else to do?  Take an official tour.
It was a good thing i had my camping outfit, I seemed to fit in better.
We went to the little grocery store, who was celebrating 75 years.
Who, also was having a scavenger hunt, which I did.
Which I considered useless, because it was me against the locals. . .
it was inevitable that I lost, but with good spirits.

They actually had some chic little shops, 2 to be exact.

Awesome Pool house

The only video store in town.
Can you see how the lightbulbs were still going?

Steph posing on State Street.

We found this place, which i'm not sure if it was still open. .. but with this rouge why not?

I'm sure Salina doesn't get many tourists, ever, so it must have been a site to see two ladies walking down the street taking photos.

After getting the full tour of Salina, which took about 30 minutes, plus 30 minutes of shopping the two chich shops, we headed to Richfield!
Had delicious ice cream.

This is my husband when I have a camera.
After a full day of Salina and Richfield and everything between we decide to watch a movie.

What else could be betteR?

Hunter started us off showing us their dance, sadly, I couldn't get a shot while he was standing and dancing.
We hung out, played Carcossone, ate good food and sat around. It was a nice relaxing weekend.
Thanks Steph and Hunter.

On our way home we took the scenic way?

Passed a few good little towns.
It really was a beautiful drive.
<3 it.

Our main reason for taking the detour.
Derek and I were married here in the top room 5 years and 9 days ago.
Ha.

                                                                                      ☮ <3 Harmony

Observations from a Desk of the Outside World.

Men, it is not okay to walk through town without a shirt with your shirt unbuttoned. No Matter How Tan You Are.  If you do, you are now subject to me taking a photo of you and posting it on this blog. Oh, and please don't strut while half naked.

Just call be Beast Master.
I had a bird run into my window at work.  I almost wet myself and I was on the phone. . . so. . . well I'm sure they thought I was crazy.
We have a family of squirrels outside my window.  Mama and her 8 little rodent babies.  I'll admit they are pretty dang cute.
Squirrel!

Code Enforcers - not police men.
So there is a Code Enforcer that drives around in a vehicle that looks like a police car. Man they are sneaky. But so every once in a while he'll drive by and take off flyers that have been stapled to the pole on the corner.
Really?

That's what my tax dollars are hard at work for?

Creepers

One time there was this guy who was walking down the sidewalk in front of the office and he was strutting, but luckily he had his shirt on.  The next thing i know he is RIGHT in front of my window, standing very still, smiling very pedifilish. There's a walkway that goes past my window so I mean he was like 5 feet away. And just stared. Finally he went away, he's lucky I didn't call my little rodent friends to attack.
